Kristin Fahning is currently a Senior Vocal Performance Major at Baldwin-Wallace College. Kristin was last seen as Yum-Yum in Baldwin-Wallace’s production of “The Mikado.” This last summer, Kristin had the amazing opportunity to be accepted into the Oberlin in Italy program in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. Kristin had the chance to work with world-renowned vocal coaches, take weekly vocal lessons, and participate in master classes. Kristin also performed in the Italian Opera “E’lisir D’amore,” and scene work of “Le Nozze Di Figaro.” Kristin wants to wish everyone a joyful holiday season, and hopes you enjoy tonight’s performance.

Angela Bruzina, mezzo-soprano, is a Senior Music Education major at Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, she has been seen around Cleveland as a Performer, Music Director, and Teacher. Angela has worked for various companies including: Opera Cleveland, The Beck Center, Mercury Summer Stock, Huntington Playhouse, and Brecksville Theatre on the Square. She has recently been seen in Opera Cleveland’s production of “Il Pagliacci,” as a Finalist for Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music’s Concerto Competition, and is currently Music Directing “Annie Get Your Gun” at Garfield Players. In addition to being a student, Angela teaches private voice lessons through Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory Outreach, presents various Musical Theatre Workshop classes around Cleveland, and works as a Vocal Coach for individuals, high schools, and theatre companies.

Jacob Sonnenberg, tenor is in his final year at Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, where he studies with Timothy Mussard. He has performed the roles of Koko in The Mikado, Feri in Die Csárdásfürstin, and Enrico Carouser in Edwin Penhorwood’s Too Many Sopranos. Jacob has also been heard in the Cleveland area as a soloist in The Messiah and Bach’s St. Mark Passion with the Trinity Chamber Orchestra. He has also been featured on the emerging artist series at Trinity Cathedral in downtown Cleveland. A versatile artist, Jacob is currently the assistant director for Baldwin-Wallace’s upcoming production of Don Giovanni.

Baritone Alec Donaldson is a student of Dr. JR Fralick at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. Alec has participated in a number of Baldwin Wallace Operas such as Schaunard in “La Boheme,” St. Peter in “Too Many Sopranos,” David in “A Hand of Bridge” and will be performing as the title character in the upcoming performance of “Don Giovanni.” Alec has also performed as a Bass soloist in Buxtehude’s “Membra Jesu Nostri” and Bach’s BWV64 in the 2011 Bach Fest. This summer Alec also performed roles with the Chautauqua Summer Music Festival as well as the Oberlin in Italy Program.

Children's Choir

Christine S. Kilbane is a teacher at Chestnut Intermediate and Spruce Elementary Schools in North Olmsted, where she directs two choirs, two orchestras, two bands, and also teaches general music. She earned a B.A. in Music from Hillsdale College and an M.M.Ed. from the University of Tulsa. A National Board Certified teacher, Mrs. Kilbane has been teaching for over 30 years, 23 of those in North Olmsted. Mrs. Kilbane is the proud mother of five children. She lives in North Olmsted with her cat, Allegro, and teaches private violin lessons in her home studio.

The students in the choir performing tonight with Symphony West Orchestra are fifth and sixth grade members of the Chestnut School Eagle Choir.
